The Academy of Art University, the Art School of Art Schools, and the AIGA professional association for design are joining forces to offer ongoing design education and opportunity, both in-school and out. Here are some of the ways the Academy of Art University is becoming involved with the AIGA San Francisco chapter:
Dave Gottwald, School of Graphic Design student and faculty member, is the Education Co-Chair for the AIGA SF. As such, Gottwald serves as an advocate for student concerns, aids the board of directors in planning student events, and works to promote AIGA on campus and in the student design community at large.
Elizabeth Vereker, a current School of Graphic Design student, is the Student Liaison to the AIGA SF Board.
Laura Milton, Academy of Art University undergraduate instructor, is the AIGA Student Chapter Faculty Liaison.
Mary Scott, Exectuve Director of Graduate Studies for the Academy of Art University School of Graphic Design is on the the advisory board for the AIGA SF.
Phil Hamlett, Director of Graduate Studies for the Academy of Art University School of Graphic Design, founder of Compostmodern and Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the AIGA Center for Sustainable Design, is also a member of the AIGA advisory board.
